I Hate Luv Storys made by debutant director Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar is a simple love story, very predictable and without much of layers. The story gathers very less characters and mostly revolves around Jay Dhingra( Imran Khan) who although is an assistant director himself but makes fun of the mushy romance shown on Hindi cinema. He likes to be called J instead of the uncool Jay Dhingra and aggressively denies love happening in real world. Just to be contradicted by Simran Sharma (Sonam Kapoor), an art director who belongs to a strikingly opposite school of thought. She likes the floral romance, the dreamy love sequences straight out of one of Karan Johar�s film.
